Emmet Cahill is from Mullingar, County Westmeath in Ireland. He has been singing and playing music from a very young age. He has won many prizes and accolades for classical singing in both Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Upon completing his School Leaving Certificate Emmet was awarded a place on the full time music performance degree at the Royal Irish Academy of Music where he continues to perform and study voice training.

Emmet has been involved in many stage productions around Dublin and has performed on numerous occasions at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin and as a soloist at the National Concert Hall. Over the past year Emmet has been a multiple prizewinner at the National Feis ceoil singing competitions, and has been awarded The 2010 John Mc Cormack Society's Bursary for the most promising young singer, in addition to the most promising young singer at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

Emmet comes from a very musical family and performs regularly in the Mullingar cathedral Most recently he performed for president Mary Mc Aleese at St. Patricks College Maynooth, and is due to perform on national television in January 2011. Emmet is an avid sports fan and has performed in Croke Park, Dublin on two occasions, including being chosen to sing at the 125th Anniversary of The GAA. Emmet has become the newest solo singer with the hugely successful performing group Celtic Thunder and is due to tour the United states and Australia with the group, directed by Irish Music legend Phil Coulter and produced by Sharon Browne, creator of Celtic Woman.

Emmet has just recorded a new album with the group, which will feature an original song written for him by Phil Coulter. Emmet will be available to perform at Weddings over the course of 2011. He has been singing at weddings and church events all over Ireland from a young age both with his family and as a soloist and would love to help you make your wedding day extra special.
