• Enjoy the build up - Too often planning a wedding can turn into a full-time job, and you already have one of those! You may feel like you need a wedding planner if you do not delegate some of the planning. Ensure that your fiance also has his area to organise.
• It is your wedding! Although it is always nice to get ideas from weddings you have attended, magazines and online, this is your big day and it should reflect your tastes and your personality. Make sure that it has your stamp on it so that people have a day to remember.
• Be organised! The top wedding supplier's are booked well in advance, because of their popularity. Do not be of the opinion that it is too early to book someone, otherwise you may be very disappointed that you did not get your favourite make-up artist or hairdresser.
• Wedding Folder - This is an excellent idea! It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Just something that is highly organised and has all correspondence, lists, invoices and receipts contained within. An ordinary folder with plastic pockets is fine. You should have a 'To Do List' and be able to tick off items as you move along the planning process.
